Solar Flashlights for 500 Families

December 2025

Scholars Without Borders distributed 500 solar flashlights to 500 displaced families in Khan Younis, Gaza. The distribution ran over 10 days, from December 17 to December 26, 2025. Families in displacement camps received the lights to move safely at night in their temporary shelters.

Teams coordinated with camp management and local community committees to identify distribution points and prepare beneficiary lists in advance. Distribution was organized in phases to avoid overcrowding. Staff gave beneficiaries simple guidance on charging the flashlights in sunlight and basic maintenance.
