Model School Built for 4,000 Students

March 2026

Scholars Without Borders built a model school in Gaza for the Ministry of Education. The school has 15 classroom units and can serve 4,000 students a day, from primary level through general secondary. A local contractor carried out the construction. Total value of the executed works was approximately USD 210,000.

Crews installed classrooms, administrative offices, teachers' rooms, and psychological support and storage rooms using steel profiles, zinc sheets and cladding panels. They fitted mobile sanitation units for students and staff, along with a buffet area. Student desks, whiteboards, administrative furniture and storage cabinets were supplied and installed throughout. Water tanks, plumbing, drinking fountains and a full water supply network were connected from source to tank, and a 2.5-meter perimeter fence now secures the site.

The project reached 100% completion according to the final Bill of Quantities, and the school is fully ready to receive students. This work was made possible by the generosity of our donors.
