GLOBAL FOOD AID
Urgent Help Needed
Approximately 821 million people worldwide suffer daily from hunger, severely impacting their health, productivity, and community stability. Globally, hunger affects 11.3% of the population, with over 50 million people in 46 countries nearing famine. Every day, 25,000 individuals die from hunger-related causes, including about 1 million severely malnourished children each year. Addressing this escalating humanitarian crisis requires urgent action.
Our impact
At Scholars Without Borders, we’ve been committed to combating hunger and supporting communities around the world for over three decades. We understand how vital proper nutrition is for every aspect of life, which is why we are dedicated to ensuring that no child or adult has to face hunger.
Each year, we provide food assistance to thousands of people in crisis across countries. Our approach focuses not only on providing immediate relief but also on sustainable, long-term solutions for food security.
We distribute seeds and provide training to help local populations improve agricultural production. By introducing small-scale fish farming, we empower families to boost their diets and income. Additionally, we establish community-run food banks to maximize the reach of our support. Our work also includes setting up school gardens that provide children with nourishing food and implementing irrigation projects that help communities grow more of their own crops.
When emergencies like war, conflict, or natural disasters strike, we act immediately, providing food aid through emergency feeding centers and delivering food packages, vouchers, and fresh meat during Ramadan and Qurbani, ensuring families get the vital nutrition they need.
