Power Banks for 100 Gaza Students

May 2026

Scholars Without Borders distributed 100 power bank devices to university students across the Gaza Strip. The project ran for one week and reached students from various universities. Each device gives students a reliable way to charge phones and laptops when the power is out.

Displaced students living in shelters and tents were prioritized, along with students in applied fields like medicine and engineering who need long device use for coursework. Final-year students working on graduation projects and students with limited income were also included. The devices allow students to keep attending online lectures and submit assignments without depending on scarce grid electricity.
