Scholars Without Borders drilled a water well and installed a submersible pump at the Educational City in Khan Younis. The project ran from December 15 to December 30, 2025. It now serves 10,000 people, including students enrolled at the Educational City and displaced families living nearby.
Teams coordinated with local suppliers to source materials despite the blockade and ran diesel generators to power drilling equipment through outages. Workers tested groundwater in advance to select the best well site. Pumping hours are now regulated and control valves installed to protect water levels.
The well gives schools, university halls and kindergartens a safe water source. It also cuts the daily burden of fetching water for displaced families nearby. This work was made possible by the generosity of our donors.
